Founded by the Carlson Brothers, Archetype Design Build brings a combination of art, history, science and common sense to their building projects. Archetype utilizes the services of only top-notch craftsmen, mechanics and tradesmen in the application of their services. Minnesota natives Randall and Rhoen Carlson are third generation home builders with a combined 80+ years’ experience in the home building and remodeling industry. As young men they both worked alongside their father and grandfather, learning the craft from two Master builders who, with their own hands, built over 150 homes. The brothers are well versed in all applications of the industry. From engineering and design to building codes and project management, Randall and Rhoen bring the complete package to Archetype Design Build.
Their outside interests are many and varied. Foremost among them are the Earth Sciences and archaic building traditions.
